Dan picked me up. Corey was off today. I was dropped off at Radio Shack. I brought the boxes of empty water bottles in and then walked to Panera and got a large cup of hazelnut coffee. I walked back to Radio Shack. Tara was working. There was a new A.T.G. about the code of ethics for Radio Shack. It was the same one I took last year. It's a yearly thing. The A.T.G. hasn't been updated since 2007. The A.T.G. was basically about the business procedures at the store and corporate level. It just said that Radio Shack doesn't discriminate, follows all anti-trust laws, and upholds fair business practices. It also said that employees should conduct themselves if a fair and ethical way. It outlined the resposibilities of knowing inside stock prices and other confidential information and the obligation to report interior theft and misconduct. It was just general integritous actions that everyone should do anyway. The questions on the quiz were the same as last year. I even remembered one question from last year. It said, "You hear a funny but possibly offensive joke on the radio on the way to work. What do you do?" The other questions were like that too. I think I wrote a blog about this last year. I'm sure I'll write about it again next year, if I'm still at Radio Shack. I printed out the Code Of Ethics manual for Radio Shack. It's like a book.
After I was finished with the A.T.G. I started the price audit. Tara had completed the gondolas and I started on the east perimeter by the MP3 players. I completed through two panels of the power and battery section. Justin showed up. Tara left. Before she left she took the A.T.G. too. Justin did the same when he arrived. He was a few minutes late today. An order arrived but they come almost every day I'm there. It was only four boxes. I don't even know what was in them. I filled the bottles with water from the sink in the storage room. I wiped the sink out and replaced the items that were in the sink. The sink is more or less used a storage area than a sink.
Other than taking the A.T.G. and doing the price audit, I sold stuff. The Dish Network rep., I think her name is Kiera but I'm not sure, showed up. She showed up right when I was about to shoot up. I went in the back room while she was there and shot up. I then punched out for lunch and walked to Wal-Mart. I got 2 chimichangas and a 20oz Mt. Dew. I used my Quest card to pay for it. I walked back to Radio Shack and cooked the chimichangas in the microwave and ate them in the back hallway. While they were cooking I came out onto the sales floor and spoke with Kiera. I learned a contract isn't needed to subscribe to Dish Network. The monthly fee is more if no contract is signed, of course. Kiera left and I ate the chimichangas. I punched back in.
I didn't close and after I ate it was almost time for me to leave. Jose showed up. I just pretty much hung out until it was time for me to punch out. When I did punch out it took Nick forever to get there. I punched out at 6:00 p.m. and he didn't arrive until 7:00 p.m. I just hung out until he got there. When he did arrive I put the boxes of water in the station wagon and left. He drove me home.
